Material life tracking
MATERIAL LIFE TRACKING
The industrial challenge
INACCURATE DATA
Manual record-keeping is prone to errors and inconsistencies, jeopardising the reliability of tracked information.
POOR VISIBILITY
Traditional methods lack real-time insights, making it challenging to proactively spot and address issues.
WASTED TIME
Manual data entry consumes time and resources better spent on core production activities.
RISK OF ERROR
Human memory and manual processes can falter, leading to mistakes in material selection and usage, potentially impacting product quality.
MATERIAL LIFE TRACKING
Our solution
RECEIVING ALERTS
When the allotted time is up, the portal sends alerts to notify you that the material has nearly expired.
TEMPERATURE CHANGE
The BLE Beacon detects temperature increases with its sensor and adjusts its internal clock to reflect the new conditions and lifespan.
CONFIGURE TIMER
Configure timers for each beacon to reflect the material’s lifespan in cool conditions.
Material Life Tracking Module
Composites and raw materials degrade over time, leading to wastage, non-compliance if not properly audited, and potential manufacturing backlogs. Current methods of tracking these materials are outdated and time-consuming, diverting valuable resources from other tasks. Efficiently tracking the available life of these assets can prevent these issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
SOFTWARE PLATFORM
Tracking the life of composites and raw materials can be easily accomplished using our Bluetooth tags and the accompanying module on the Pathfindr Portal. Simply place the Bluetooth tag on or around the assets you want to monitor. You can then set up timers, temperature, and humidity parameters that determine the life of the asset. When the asset is moved from one condition to another, the timer will adjust based on the new conditions. For example, moving sensitive assets from a cold store, where life expectancy is 6 months, to an environment where the expectancy is 15 days, will automatically update the timer to reflect the new conditions.
Set up the Detector network in your facility and collaborate with Pathfindr to create relevant zones within your building.
